Understanding Etuaptmumk Two Eyed Seeing
Session Description:
This virtual lunch and learn introduces the concept of Etuaptmumk, also known as Two Eyed Seeing, a guiding principle originating from Mi’kmaq Knowledge Holders. Participants will explore how Two Eyed Seeing encourages the use of Indigenous ways of knowing alongside mainstream approaches, without diminishing either. The session invites reflection on how this perspective can support respectful relationships, improved understanding, and more inclusive decision making within health, research, and organizational contexts.
