Our Commitment to Accessibility

At the Équipe Santé Ontario Cochrane District Ontario Health Team (ÉSOCDOHT), we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. We strive to meet the highest accessibility standards as outlined by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and other relevant Canadian regulations. This includes making our website, facilities, and services fully accessible to all users by adhering to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.

Our efforts include:

• Designing an accessible and user-friendly website with screen reader compatibility, alternative text for images, and easy navigation.
• Ensuring that all digital and printed materials are available in accessible formats upon request.
• Providing assistive devices, communication supports, and physical accessibility features at our facilities.
• Continually training staff and stakeholders on best practices in accessibility and inclusion to enhance the patient and caregiver experience.
